About NIFT 2026 Coaching

Out of which the NIFT’s are the most prominent. Other schools such as Pearl / United World / Srishti / MIT ID etc. are also coming up fast and they’re catching up with the NIFT brand name. So… in order to make it into the best you need to crack their respective entrances (which are the sole deciding factors for admission)

The NIFT 2026 Entrance

The GAT Section 30%
Will test you on your reasoning skills / numerical ability / awareness and Language Ability. One might ask, why math? What does math / reasoning have to do with creativity? Well, when you become a designer, your concept of proportion / size etc. becomes essential. that is where basic math skills are necessary. Also, when you design you have to keep in mind trends / practicability / usability of your designs etc. that’s where reasoning / awareness comes in.

The CAT section 50%
This is where the real deal is. This section will test your,artistic sense / Your ability to identify patterns / colour texture / Your observation skills / Your creative charisma in terms of creating something extraordinary out of nothing with a lot of flair.

The Situation Test 20%
This is required once you clear the cutoff’s for CAT and GAT. This dection will test your ability to improvize with hard material (3D) . Whether you can work with needles / threads / plasticine / thermocol / etc. and make something relevant out of it given a stipulated timeframe is what they will see.

Understanding the NIFT Entrance Test Format

Total Marks: 200 (with negative marking)
Exam Duration: 3 hours + 2 hours + Situation Test
