UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun has announced UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test ULSAT 2016. UPES Dehradun invites applications from eligible candidates for  UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (ULSAT) for the academic year 2016-2017. UL-SAT is conducted for the admission in undergraduate level programs in law courses.

Courses Offered                             

  1. 5 years Integrated Bachelor of Arts+Bachelor of Law (BA + LLB) Hons with specialization in Energy Laws, Criminal Laws/ Labor Laws
  2. Bachelor of Business Administration+Bachelor of Law (BBA + LLB) in Corporate Laws, International Trade & Investment/Banking, Finance & Insurance
  3. Bachelor of Commerce + Bachelor of Law (B.Com + LLB) Hons in Taxation Laws
  4. 6 years Integrated Bachelor of Technology in Energy Technology+Bachelor of Law (B.Tech + LLB) Hons with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights and
  5. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering + LLB Hons with specialization in Cyber Laws programs

Online Registration Starts: 05th November 2015
Last Date of Submission of Application Form: 03rd May 2016
ULSAT 2016 Admit Card: 24 Hours prior to commencement of exam
Date of Exam ULSAT 2016: 15th May 2016
Declaration of ULSAT 2016 Results: Last week of May 2016

Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria: Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01st October 1994 are eligible to apply for admission; date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic

 

BA LLB Hons with emphasis on Energy Laws, BBA LLB with Emphasis on Corporate Laws, B.Com LLB Hons with emphasis on Taxation Laws:

  • Minimum 50% marks at higher & senior level (10th & 12th)
  • Admission Criteria: UPES Online Law Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) / Board Merit/CLAT Merit/L-SAT India Merit followed by Group Discussion & Interview

B.Tech Energy Technology + LLB (Hons) with specialization in intellectual property rights (IPR):

  • Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th);
  • Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level
  • Admission Criteria: UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) followed by Centralized Counseling

How to Apply ULSAT 2016

  • Candidates need to apply online
  • Candidates desirous of seeking admission to the program may procure the prospectus and application form from UPES Enrolment Offices at Dehradun/Delhi on payment of 1750/-(Rs.1850/-, if required through post or courier)
  • The payment should be made in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “UPES Fee Account“, payable at Dehradun/Delhi

 

ULSAT 2016 Exam Pattern

  • Candidates will appear for the online test by logging in with their credential from their computer connected with a webcam and internet connection
  • Date of Test:15th May 2016 (Sunday, 09.30-12.30 Hrs. Duration – 3 Hrs.)
  • Scheme of Test:(i) Language Comprehension (40 questions); (ii) Quantitative & Numerical Ability (40 questions); (iii) Logical Reasoning (40 questions); (iv) Legal General Knowledge (40 questions); (v) Legal Aptitude (40 questions); and Total No.of Questions: 200 Questions
