Exam pattern

The CLAT question paper is divided into five different sections – English, General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Reasoning (Logical and Analytical) and Mathematics.

CLAT Admission Process 2024
Aspirants seeking admission into five-year integrated undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes in the 19 NLUs need to appear for CLAT 2024. The admission process of CLAT 2024 begins with examination notification and availability of CLAT application form. The CLAT 2024 applicants next will have to appear for the NUALS Kochi administered common law admission test. The CLAT 2024 appearing candidates based on their admission test performance will secure All India Ranks (AIRs) and CLAT 2024 scores. These will be accepted by various law schools including the participating 19 NLUs. The CLAT committee headed by NUALS Kochi will organise CLAT 2024 counselling. The CLAT qualifying candidates will be allotted seats in different NLUs under a centralised counselling system.
CLAT Eligibility
Candidates should read and understand eligibility criteria of CLAT as specified by the law examination committee. The CLAT eligibility criteria state minimum academic qualifications and the percentage of total marks apart from age limit required for applying for the law undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Following common eligibility criteria of CLAT, candidates applying for UG law programmes need to qualify 12th board examination (Intermediate) of 10+2 educational system, scoring at least 45 percent marks in the aggregate of subjects studied at 10+2 level. According to the CLAT eligibility criteria, those applying for PG law programmes should have an LL.B degree with a minimum score of 55 percent marks in the final year of law degree examination. There is no age bar for those applying for five-year undergraduate as well as postgraduate law programmes through CLAT.
CLAT Application form
Aspirants can fill the online application form of CLAT after registering themselves for the common law admission test. CLAT registrations will be processed after candidates have provided a valid e-mail id and mobile number during CLAT registration. The CLAT application forms 2024 can only be filled online after logging into an application form window through CLAT 2024 registered account and password. Most importantly, candidates are advised to take care that CLAT application form needs to be filled and submitted through the online application process before the scheduled last date.
CLAT Figures

In 2016, there were 39415 candidates who applied and 37176 who took the test. CLAT Admit card
The NUALS will issue CLAT admit card on tentative November to December, 2022. CLAT applicants can download their CLAT admit cards by entering login id and password through an official link. The CLAT admit card is considered hall ticket to appear in the law admission test. Carry CLAT admit card (hall ticket/ e-admit card) at the examination centres.
CLAT 2024 syllabus
Candidates should check CLAT syllabus as it helps them in preparation. The syllabus of CLAT 2024 mentions important sections and their topics.
