When you have set your eyes to pursue a career in design, you have to take note of the fact that getting admission in one of the best design colleges in India is the first concrete step in realising your big dreams. Since this career option is relatively less pursued vis-à-vis medicine, law or engineering, one is likely to assume that competition is non-existent in this domain. The reality is quite the opposite, with thousands of students making a beeline for this stream these days. The repetitive onslaught of the message – follow your dream career no matter how offbeat – is encouraging aspirants to give it a shot before exploring the conventional career options. With the mushrooming of coaching institutes, cracking the design entrance test has now become a lot easier. The switch to Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) pattern of questions has fuelled high hopes in aspirants. Given the fact that there are few good design colleges in India, there is obviously a mad scramble to get into NID or NIFT campus. 1. ISDI Mumbai is known for its focus on creativity and innovation, offering courses in design that include practical learning and industry exposure. Students appreciate the experienced faculty and modern facilities. However, the fees are considered high, which may be a concern for some. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re passionate about design and willing to invest in your education.
