How to get into National Law Universities 2023

Selection into the top Law Schools in the country is based on the CLAT and other allied Law entrances like the AILET (for NLU – Delhi), SLAT (for Symbiosis) and LSAT for Jindal. The CLAT being the mother of all Law entrances is the most competitive too with over 50000 candidates vying for 1200 seats. Eligibility for the CLAT 2023:

To sit for the CLAT you need to have Passed class 12 with at least a 45% in any board recognized by the UGC. No upper age limit has been prescribed for CLAT 2018 and it is likely that they won’t introduce one in CLAT 2023.

CLAT SECTIONS:

The CLAT is a 150 mark exam of 2 hours. There will be 200 questions broken into sections in the following way:

  • Legal Aptitude: (40 Questions)
  • English: (27-32 Questions)
  • Logical Reasoning: (27-32 Questions)
    (Critical Reasoning)
  • Mathematics: (15 Questions)
    (Data Interpretation)
  • GK & Current Affairs: (40 Questions)

There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer marked.
